Sand Harbor Lake Tahoe, is a Nevada State Park, located on the east shore of Lake Tahoe. Beautiful pristine blue waters on this side of the lake with wonderful rock formations. Once the area was home to Native Americans, The Washo Tribe, and then later, by wealthy Americans. One of these Americans, spent much money on The Thunderbird Lodge, and other historical buildings on San Harbor, formerly a summer estate.
Today, it is a hot destination spot on Lake Tahoe, and you can view the link to read more about the Sand Harbor state park and what they offer. It can get very busy during the peak summer season. Also there is a theater at Sand Harbor and every year they have a Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. Below you can find the link and go to their Facebook page and like them.
