Hibiscus flowers are known as being as the national flower for many countries.  It is the state flower for Hawaii.

There are many types of Hibiscus flowers, white, pink, purple, and wild hibiscus flowers too.   Hibiscus also is known as rose mallow.  It grows very well in Redding, California, as it’s moderately sunny and warm throughout the year.  Especially during this drought.

Hollyhock Flower in Redding, California

This is my absolute favorite photograph because my mother took it. Plus I love the flower, and the color of the flower. My mom and I both loved this flower.  My love from flowers comes from my mother, grandmother and aunts.  In memory of my mother for Mother’s day.  Love you always Mom.

Pink Hollyhock and White Picket Fence, this hollyhock was a volunteer.

My Mom took this photograph.  🙂
For two years now this pink hollyhock volunteer has been growing by the white picket fence.
A volunteer plant, means a seed came along via the wind or something and planted itself.
I love this flower and I love the fact that we didn’t ask for it
