Rainbow in Trinity County, Old Photographs

This is a great old rainbow photograph that my mother took many years ago. I scanned the photograph and then altered it in Photoshop. I used the patch tool, from the source, to get rid of the power line. Then using the clone stamp to get rid of the sun spot.

I could have also taken out the stop sign but I rather liked it in the photograph. Here are both photographs.

Mt. Lassen, Lassen County, California

Living in Shasta County we are fortunate to be able to easily visit the beautiful Mount Lassen. The mountain is 10,462 ft or 1,594 m.

These photographs were taken from the drive climbing up the east side of the mountain, a trip returning from Truckee, CA. I believe these are of Mount Whitney.

Sundial Bridge, Sacramento River, Shasta County

Sundial bridge a walking bridge, over the Sacramento river, Redding, California

This bridge is fantastic! I think that it was one of the greatest structures to be built in California. I have visited it numerous time and it is just wonderful to visit. My grandpa will argue with you till the sun comes up about what a waste of money it was. If you want to get him riled up just mention the Sundial Bridge. 🙂

“Spanish architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava conceived the Sundial Bridge’s unusual design, his first free-standing bridge in the United States.”
